2. Personal data we may collect
Depending on your interaction with us, we may collect: identity and contact details (such as name, business email, phone number, job title and business address); business and professional information (such as company, role, business interests and information about an opportunity); enquiry and communication records; event or relationship information; technical and usage information (such as IP address, browser/device details, pages viewed and timestamps, where collected); and other information you voluntarily provide or that is lawfully supplied by an authorised representative or relevant business contact. Please do not send sensitive personal data, identity documents or confidential transaction materials unless necessary, authorised and shared through suitable arrangements.
3. How we collect data
We may collect data directly from you; from your authorised representative, employer, business partner or adviser; from business cards, professional profiles, company websites or other public business sources where appropriate and lawful; automatically through hosting logs, cookies or similar technologies; or from service providers supporting our website and operations.
4. Purposes
We may use personal data to respond to enquiries; assess proposed engagements; facilitate business introductions, meetings and discussions where appropriate and authorised; prepare proposals and manage business relationships; operate, secure and improve the Website; manage relevant events; send business updates where permitted by law and, where required, with consent; maintain records; prevent misuse; resolve disputes; establish or defend legal claims; and comply with legal obligations. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing lawfully carried out before withdrawal.
5. Whether data is necessary
You may browse general Website content without deliberately submitting contact details, although technical data may be collected by the host or enabled tools. If you make an enquiry, we may need your name and contact details to respond. Without information reasonably needed to assess or respond, we may be unable to assist.
6. Disclosure
Where necessary and appropriate, we may disclose personal data to authorised personnel; professional advisers; website, email, cloud, scheduling, analytics, CRM and other service providers; relevant prospective counterparties or strategic partners where there is an appropriate basis and, where needed, your authorisation; public authorities where required or permitted by law; and parties involved in a genuine business restructuring or transfer subject to suitable safeguards. We do not state that we sell personal data. We will not pass your contact details to a potential counterparty merely because you made a general enquiry.
7. Overseas processing
Some service providers or business contacts may be outside Malaysia, and data may be processed or stored in other jurisdictions depending on the services used. Where personal data is transferred outside Malaysia, we will take steps required by applicable law, including relevant conditions and safeguards. Contact us for further information. Confirm actual provider locations and arrangements before launch.
8. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure. No website, email system or electronic transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
9. Retention
We retain personal data for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Notice, including responding to enquiries, managing relationships, keeping business records and meeting legal requirements. When data is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to delete, destroy or anonymise it, subject to law and legitimate recordkeeping needs.

The Website may use essential cookies for functionality or security. If analytics, embedded content, advertising or other tools are enabled, they may collect technical or usage information or set cookies. The actual tools depend on the Website configuration. You may opt out using an unsubscribe mechanism where provided or by contacting info@advantage.asia. We may still send non-promotional communications relating to an enquiry or existing engagement.

Subject to applicable law and exceptions, you may have rights to request access to or correction of personal data, withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, or exercise other rights under Malaysian data protection law. Contact info@advantage.asia with your request. We may need to verify your identity and will respond within the period required by law. Some requests may be limited by legal exceptions or recordkeeping obligations.
